Getting to Naxos

By sea: There are many routes between Naxos and Mainland Greece (Piraeus and Rafina ports). Journey from Piraeus will take 5 hours and 30 minutes by ferry, while speed vessels will take 3 hours and 40 minutes only. Naxos is also connected to Paros, Ios, Santorini, Mykonos, Amorgos, Syros, Koufonissia, Iraklia, Schinoussa, Donoussa, Anafi islands. Occasionally Naxos is also connected to Crete, Rhodes, Kalymnos and Samos Islands. Please check at openseas.gr.

By air: There are flights from Athens International airport (30 minutes flight time). There are also charter flights from Austria. Naxos can also be reached via Santorini and Mykonos island international airports and then ferry cross to Naxos Island.

Getting around

Naxos Island has a sufficient road network and most of Naxos attractions can be easily reached. Bus schedules are frequent and taxis are also available. carNET rent-a-car and Auto Naxos offer reliable car rental service. Motorbike and bike rentals are also available. Remote beaches can be reached with boats which also offer day cruises.
